The story of Rocky Mountain Hardware unfolded over three decades ago with Mark and Patsy Nickum. The couple worked closely with architects, designers and builders in Sun Valley, Idaho, to furnish high-end doors, windows and door hardware for upscale, custom-built homes.
A hardware legend was born
The Nickums quickly realized the need for quality, customized products, as their clients repeatedly asked for pieces that simply didn’t exist. They were looking for accessories that would tie their projects together; products with one-of-a-kind character that could be used throughout the entire house to unify the look. Soon, Rocky Mountain Hardware was born.
Cast in bronze
Today, despite the company’s explosive growth, every hardware piece is still expertly crafted in America using only the finest art-grade bronze and precision-quality mechanisms that stand up to the test of time. In fact, all products are backed by a lifetime guarantee. Each piece is individually cast for one-of-a-kind character, and then given a hand-applied patina that grows richer and more lustrous in response to the environment.
